General

The best rule to follow is help others have a good time. The second best rule to follow is the golden rule. Between those two everyone should have a great time! Here are a few more policies to know about Granite Game Summit:

Admissions

One price for the full event Friday March 9th 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday March 11th. The badge includes access to the space and the attendee game library. No swapping/lending of badges is allowed. Badges should be worn prominently at all times.

Children

As with all attendees, our goal is that children and their parents have fun while respecting the enjoyment of others. All attendees 10 and older must have a valid badge. Children under the age of 10 must always be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; minors age 10-17 must have a responsible guardian present at all times.

Code of Conduct

Click here for our full Code of Conduct.

Alcohol

Alcohol is not allowed in the gaming area.

Sportsmanship

We are here to play games and have fun. Follow the first rule (help others have fun) and there will not be a problem.

Payment

All badges must be purchased through our Eventbrite system here.

Refunds

You can receive a refund by requesting one through Eventbrite. Refunds will be able to be processed until March 2nd, 2018.

Lost Items/Theft

The organizers of Granite Game Summit are not responsible for any lost or stolen property.

GAME LIBRARY

We have a small but growing library. Not enough to server everyone. The rest of the games will be brought by you and others like you. So treat all games as if they were your own or better.

Smoking

In accordance with the Hotel Policy and Local Laws, there is no smoking in the Summit area.

Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our summit are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all attendees to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

The Quick Version

Our summit is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or any other life choices. We do not tolerate harassment of summit attendees in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any summit venue, including talks, play space, parties, Twitter and other online media. Summit attendees violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the summit without a refund at the discretion of the summit organizers.

The Less Quick Version

Harassment includes offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, life choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of games or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Attendees asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Arguing about the situation will not help.

If an attendee engages in harassing behavior, the summit organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the summit with no refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a summit organizer immediately.

Summit organizers will be happy to help attendees contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the summit. We value your attendance.

We expect attendees to follow these rules at summit venues and summit-related social events.
