William Faust from Top Shelf Fun

Granite Game Summit has fantastic people that help make this event great. One sponsor, William Faust CEO of Top Shelf Fun, stepped up in a big way for #G2S20. Let’s find out a little more about William Faust and Top Shelf Fun.

Top Shelf Fun was born out of a love of the tabletop gaming hobby. Board games, card games, dice games, and anything you can play with friends and family around a table! In a digital age of technology they prefer the tactile feel of tabletop games and the relationships they forge.

Questions by Kevin Craine (KC), answers by William Faust (WF).

THREE SPONSORSHIP RELATED QUESTIONS:

KC: What about Granite Game Summit helped you decide to be a sponsor?

WF: When the opportunity arose, especially after years of hearing about Granite Game Summit from listening to “Flip the Table,” I had to get involved!

KC: How did Top Shelf Fun start?

WF: Building a company from the ground up with the help of Kickstarter truly was a dream come true. I would not be here doing what I love if it wasn't for all the people that helped me bring them what they love - Meepillows!

KC: What does your company do that you are most proud of?

WF: Our Game Haul bags were some of the first board game carrying bags to hit the market years ago. Since then, we have expanded our line to a variety of sizes and now licenses. It is always thrilling and rewarding to see gamers walking around cons with our bags.

THREE QUESTION JUST FOR FUN:

KC: How frequently do you get to the game table?

WF: Before my son Atticus arrived just over a year ago, Thursday night was always game night. Now, gaming is fit in whenever possible, which can be difficult to say the least.

KC: Do you have a favorite game designer whose designs hit the mark for you?

WF: Corey Konieczka, Eric Lang, Jamey Stegmaier

KC: Are there any obscure games that you love that you feel do not get enough attention?

WF: I’m not sure that it is obscure, but Alien Frontiers is my all-time favorite game that I wish more people would play!
