General

The best rule to follow is to help others have a good time. The second best rule to follow is the golden rule. Between those two everyone should have a great time! Here are a few more policies to know about our events. Attendees violating these policies may be sanctioned or expelled without a refund at the discretion of the organizers.

Admissions

Must purchase ticket for an event. Some events sell out, so buying the ticket early and before showing up at the door is highly suggested (sign up to the convention’s newsletter for ticket release dates and times. Bring your ticket to the event to get your badge. The badge includes access to the space and both the libraries. No swapping/lending of badges is allowed. Badges should be worn prominently at all times.

Children

Individuals under the age of 10 must always be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; minors aged 10-17 must have a responsible guardian present at all times. There will be no exceptions.

Alcohol

Alcohol is not allowed in the gaming area.

Sportsmanship

We are here to play games and have fun. Follow the first rule (help others have fun) and there will not be a problem.

Payment

All tickets must be purchased through our Eventbrite system.

Refunds

You can receive a refund by requesting one through Eventbrite. Refunds will be processed up until 30 days before the event (no refund for Eventbrite fees).

Lost Items/Theft

Event organizers are not responsible for any lost or stolen property.

Game Library

Depending on the convention there will be different libraries available. There could be a convention library and/or a attendee shared library. Either way treat all games kindly as we want these lovely pieces of art to last as long as possible. In other words treat them as if they were your own games or better.

Smoking

In accordance with the venue policy and local laws, there is no smoking in the event spaces.

Covid Policy

In order to create as safe an environment as possible we are updating some policies.

Masks

As always, our priority is to keep our event safe for all, which means that during an ever-changing pandemic, we need to prioritize the immunocompromised members of our community by requiring masks. We hear you though and understand that sometimes you need/want a break from wearing a mask. We will have part of the event space be mask-optional. This will entirely depend on the current state of Covid-19 for the region. As we get closer to an event a final decision will be made and any changes will be announced.

While there may be parts of the venue that are mask optional, full masking will be required in all other spaces at all times. We want to be sure that people understand that the possible mask-optional space may fill and you will need a mask in all other spaces, with no exceptions.

That means your mask must be covering your mouth AND your nose. That means that if you are taking a drink, you take the drink and put your mask back on. You may NOT leave you mask off while you continue to drink. Arguing about the masking rules, or refusing to comply to the mask rules will get you removed from the event without a refund. It may also leave you banned from future events.

Food

We will have designated eating spaces outside of the gaming where people can eat. We ask that you only eat in the designated areas so we can keep our gaming spaces masked.

Drinks

We still want everyone to stay hydrated. Please bring your water bottles and use the fill stations. We simply ask that you take a drink and put your mask back on.

We are doing our best to keep the event as safe as possible for all and we appreciate your cooperation.

Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our events are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all attendees to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

The Quick Version

Our events are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or any other life choices. We do not tolerate harassment of attendees in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any venue, including talks, play space, parties, and online media. Attendees violating these policies may be sanctioned or expelled without a refund at the discretion of the organizers.

The Less Quick Version

Harassment includes offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, life choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of games or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Attendees asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Arguing about the situation will not help.

If an attendee engages in harassing behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an organizer immediately.

Organizers will be happy to help attendees contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.

We expect attendees to follow these rules at event venues and event-related social events.
